Coffee Talk with Cindy Leuty Jones
History of Photography
Wednesday, February 27
10:00 am Coffee & Treats, 10:30 am Presentation
Prior to photography, images were shared through the art of drawing and
painting. Photography radically changed that with the invention of the camera and the creation of the first permanent image in 1826 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce. Today, 350 million photos are uploaded daily on Facebook. Photography has changed our lives more than almost any invention of its times.
Cindy will explore the history of photography. Join us to learn how photography has changed art, politics, fashion history and everything else about our lives. Cindy will present some of the great photographic artists and what makes a photograph a superb art form. Composition, light, the decisive moment and how an image is a true representation of a moments in time that will never be again.
